Why BrickDeck

Built because picking orders shouldn't be this hard.

BrickDeck started with a simple frustration: selling LEGO parts wasn't the problem. Everything required to fulfil those sales was.

The real workflow

None of these jobs is extraordinary. There are just ten of them.

An order arrives. Then the seller moves through a chain of separate jobs — none of them difficult on their own, all of them disconnected. The problem isn't any single task. It's that they aren't one job operationally, even though they should be.

  1. Marketplace order pages

    One tab per channel

  2. Order paperwork

    Printed or exported

  3. Amalgamation tools

    Combining the day's orders

  4. Storage locations

    Working out where things live

  5. Batch picking

    Walking the stockroom

  6. Re-sorting

Breaking the batch back into orders

  7. Packing

    Checking every lot by hand

  8. Shipping websites

    Re-entering addresses and weights

  9. Labels

    Printing, matching, attaching

  10. Marketplace status updates

    Closing the loop manually

Every hand-off in that chain is a chance to lose time, misplace a lot, or retype something that was already typed once. BrickDeck exists to close those gaps.

The insight

The marketplace is where you sell. BrickDeck is where you run the business.

BrickLink, BrickOwl, eBay and other marketplaces do an important job: they connect buyers and sellers. BrickDeck isn't trying to replace that. It's designed to connect the operational work that happens around those marketplace orders — the part no marketplace was ever built to do for you.

Why the product is different

Designed around the whole operation, not one feature.

BrickDeck treats running a store as a single connected system. The seller shouldn't have to continually translate information from one tool into another — the order, the inventory, the bin, the parcel and the decision are all the same job.

One connected system

  1. Orders
  2. Inventory
  3. Storage
  4. Pick
  5. Pack
  6. Ship
  7. Analyse
  8. Decide

Each stage hands the next one everything it needs. Information enters once and carries through.

First-hand experience

Built from running a LEGO parts store.

BrickDeck originated from actually operating a LEGO parts store and encountering these problems first-hand — the order paperwork, the amalgamation, the re-sorting, the late nights matching labels to parcels. The product is shaped by that work, not by assumptions about it.

The principle

Less admin. More selling.

BrickDeck should take operational friction out of running the store without forcing the seller to completely change how their warehouse works. Your warehouse doesn't have to fit BrickDeck. BrickDeck fits your warehouse. The software should understand the operation rather than demanding that every seller operate identically.

Where BrickDeck is going

Beyond the screen.

The same operational intelligence that runs the workflow extends into the decisions around it — and eventually into the stockroom itself.

Oracle

Part-out value is only the beginning. Oracle helps sellers make better-informed purchasing and parting decisions, with evidence rather than instinct.

The vision extends beyond software screens. Firefly connects BrickDeck's software intelligence to the physical picking process, lighting the way to the next bin.

Current status

In private beta, tested against real operations.

BrickDeck is currently being developed and tested with a private beta. We're looking for sellers across different sizes and workflows who can help test the product against real operations — because that's the only test that matters.
