Meet Firefly.
Pick together.
Sort as you go.
Firefly brings BrickDeck's multi-order picking into the physical warehouse. As you pick each part, the right customer bin lights up — so the order is already sorted when the pick run is finished.
Firefly is a family of physical picking products designed to work with BrickDeck rather than a single permanent device: light-guided storage and customer bins in different sizes and formats, so a store can start small and extend as it grows. Everything here is in development — nothing is available to buy, and no specification, format or launch date is confirmed.

The second pass
Batch picking is fast. Sorting it afterwards isn't.
Picking several orders in one walk saves time. Then the batch arrives at the desk as one pile of mixed parts, and every part gets handled a second time to find out whose it is.

How it works
Three steps. Nothing to learn.
Firefly is a physical output for something BrickDeck already does.
- 1
Start a multi-order pick
BrickDeck creates the pick run across the customer orders you select.
- 2
Pick the part
BrickDeck guides you to the storage location and the quantity you need.
- 3
Follow the light
The corresponding Firefly bin illuminates. Put the parts into that bin and continue.
At the end of the run, each bin holds one customer's order.
The run itself comes from multi-order Pick Mode in BrickDeck, which is available to beta stores today with or without Firefly hardware.
Scale
Twelve orders, one walk.
The current concept is designed to support up to 12 simultaneous orders in a single pick run.

Pick Mode + Firefly
The software says whose it is. The bin says where it goes.
BrickDeck already resolves each quantity to a customer order while you pick. Firefly turns that decision into a light on the shelf in front of you.

Software and shelf
Software that understands the physical operation.
BrickDeck is not another marketplace dashboard. It is built around the whole operational workflow of a LEGO parts seller — and Firefly is what happens when that knowledge reaches the warehouse.
The order
Which orders are in the run, from every marketplace.
The parts
Every part and quantity each order requires.
The locations
Where each lot lives in your storage.
The route
The order in which to walk it.
The customer
Which quantity belongs to which order.
Firefly
Gives all of it a physical output on the shelf.

Firefly isn't available yet. Tell us how you pick today and we'll come to you first as it becomes real — including if we open hardware testing.
Firefly is in development. The physical design is still evolving, so nothing on this page is a final specification.
- No release date, because it isn't decided.
- No price, because it isn't decided.
- No performance claims until Firefly has been measured properly.
BrickDeck is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the LEGO Group or any marketplace.
While Firefly is being built
The software half is already running.
Multi-order picking, marketplace orders in one queue and shipping administration are what BrickDeck stores use today.
